I know this might be a boring article for many of you who have been in Sydney for years. But for some of you who haven't been here before, I recommend you guys to read this boring article carfully because you might find it interesting at the end!!!
In my whole life, I have been to several places all over the world, but I've never seen any places like Sydney, where people are celebrating Christmas during very hot days in Summer!!!
Well, In this city, you won't be able to see a white Christmas, NEVER!!! The festive season is usually spent lazing by the beach with an ice-cold drink. Normally, summer in Sydney starts in December and ends in Februry, while winter starts in June. and ends in the late of August.
The only places that I think it gets cold enough to snow are in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, and the Alps of north-east Victoria. However, these places are not located near Sydney as you have to travel more than 6 hours by car from Sydney in order to visit those famous snowy mountains.
Moreover, the sun in Sydney is another thing that all visitors should be aware as it (the sun) is a powerful beast in Australia and made even stronger by the thin ozone layer. In order to avoid the risk of getting skin cancer, you will need to always wear a shirt, slop on some sunscreen, and put on a hat. This is not a joke, it's quite a serious issue as there are a large number of people in Sydney who got skin cancer.
Alright, you've got some ideas about the climate in Sydney, you can now make a decision if you want to celebrate your next X'mast with sunscreen in this city!?!
